Biorepository - BICaRe



Deep Sequencing Facility

Summary:

Our mission is to provide investigators with access to technology services that will help them speed along their research programs while conserving both time and money by not having to conduct the experiments within their own labs.

In addition, we provide a wide variety of the most popular reagents and supplies for immediate pick up from our facility, in an effort to decrease the amount of time it takes to go from an idea to an experiment, and to simultaneously save research funds through bulk pricing agreements and no shipping charges. We strive to provide high quality data and a rapid turn around time for all samples.



Neuroscience Core Services

Summary:

The goal of the OSU Neuroscience Center is to support neuroscientists at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital whose research emphasizes the neurobiology of disease and is funded by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS).



The Ohio State University Clinical Research Center (CRC)

Summary:

The CRC is a 12,000 square foot, 13-bed research unit that links in the translation of new scientific knowledge to impact public health. Resources available to researchers include nursing support for study implementation and data collection; a specimen processing laboratory; a core laboratory for running specialized assays; and bionutrition resources, including feeding trials, diet analysis, body composition, metabolism and exercise fitness labs



Tissue Imaging Core-BICaRe

Summary:

We provide access to advanced confocal, multi-photon and wide field microscopy. The facility specializes in various forms of fluorescence, brightfield, DIC (Differential Interference Contrast) and live cell imaging. We offer users comprehensive training (data acquisition and image analysis), assistance in the design of experimental protocols and ongoing consultation and support.
